Young Researchers Publication / Contest

Opportunity for Selected Authors

Authors of selected abstracts will:

  • Be invited to submit a full paper and present their work during a poster session at Jicable HVDC’25.

  • Participate in a special session where they will answer questions about their work.

Submission Details

  • Full Paper: Guidelines and templates for preparing the full paper are availablethrough the link provided.

  • E-Poster: Guidelines for preparing the e-poster will be available soon.

  • Submission Method: Details will be provided later and may differ from the abstract submission process.

Registration Benefits

The first author of each selected paper will be exempt from the registration fee.

Awards for Best Contributions

Prizes will be awarded to the authors of the three best contributions, based on the evaluation of:

  • The full paper,

  • The poster, and

  • The oral presentation of the poster.

Evaluation Criteria

The jury will review the full papers, posters, and oral presentations during the symposium based on the following criteria:

1. Originality of the Research Topic

  • Innovative and unique topics offering fresh perspectives or exploring under-researched areas.

2. Quality of the Full Paper

  • Clarity of writing, methodological rigor, depth of analysis, and relevance of references.

3. Quality of the Poster Presentation

  • A well-structured, visually engaging poster that effectively communicates the key findings.

4. Oral Presentation and Defense

  • The ability to clearly present the research and confidently respond to the jury’s questions, demonstrating a strong command of the subject matter.

About the Abstract

The abstract must provide a detailed synopsis of the intended full paper (maximum 500 words) and should emphasize any innovative ideas. The context of the research work must be presented, along with the main results obtained and any potential future perspectives that will be developed in the final paper if the subject is accepted. Commercial references are strictly prohibited.

Eligibility criteria :

Young researcher, i.e. full-time researcher or engineer under 35 years of age in October 2025 (day of conference)

Submission Requirements

Complete the submission form accurately, including:

  • The name(s) of the author(s),

  • Their affiliation(s),

  • Their country, 

  • Their email address,

  • The title of the proposed communication, and

  • The scientific and technical theme of the symposium to which the abstract relates.

 

Important Deadlines

  • Abstract Submission Deadline: April 15, 2025

  • Notification of Acceptance: Authors of accepted abstract will be informed by June 1, 2025.

  • Submission of Poster and Full Paper: Must be received in English no later than September 15, 2025.

Submitting an abstract is the first step to participating in the Young Researchers Contest at Jicable  HVDC'25. Here’s how to proceed.
